What we handle for you by video
Around 80% of family-medicine matters can be resolved without a physical exam — that's exactly what the video consultation is for.
Video consultation
Acute complaints, discussing test results and follow-up conversations — by video, often scheduled the same day.
Referrals & follow-up care
Referrals to specialists are still issued on paper. Everything else about your treatment we discuss in person during the video call.
Sick notes & chronic care programs
Your sick note is sent digitally to your health insurer. We continue managing asthma, COPD, coronary heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis through the DMP chronic-care programs.
Sometimes we'd rather see you in person.
Physical exams, vaccinations and swabs can't be done on a screen. Unlike pure online providers, we don't refer you to some anonymous partner practice somewhere in Germany — we have two practices of our own, where you're already a familiar face.

New to our practice?
For new patients, we send a few forms to fill out in advance — for that we need a valid email address at booking. That way we're fully prepared for your video appointment.

Does the video consultation cost extra?
No. We bill it like any other service of our family practice directly with your health insurance — statutory or private.
Can I still come to the practice in person?
Of course. Rheindahlen and Hermges remain open to you — the video consultation is an additional option, not a replacement.
What technology do I need?
A smartphone, tablet or computer with a camera, and the PatMed app for the secure chat. The video link is sent to you by email or app when your appointment starts.
What happens in an emergency?
In a real emergency, please always call 112. For urgent matters we are available by phone during office hours on weekdays.
Can I also get a sick note by video?
Yes — the digital sick note (e-AU) goes directly to your health insurer. You'll receive a printout for your employer.
Do I have to live in Mönchengladbach?
No. As a statutorily licensed family practice we may also treat you if you live a bit further away — e.g. in Viersen, Krefeld or Neuss. Just let us know when booking, we'll check for you.
